My primary concert instrument is a swan neck, triple extension 13-course Baroque Lute built by master Canadian luthier Travis Carey. The original instrument that my lute is modeled after is a surviving 16th century lute by Hans Frei (1450–1523), located today in the Warwickshire Museum, England.
I also have a fine bass-rider type 13 course baroque lute made by the great American luthier Chad Neal, modeled after the lute by Vvendelio Venere (1560-1620), located today in the Vienna Kunsthistorischesmuseum.
For the performance of Basso Continuo, I own a 14 course French theorbo by the excellent American luthier Mel Wong, gifted to me by a generous philanthropist.
